As we take a 45-minute hike through lush and tropical jungle, our guide will point out different plants, roots, and herbs once used by the Ancient Maya. Reaching our destination, we will have to turn on our flashlights as we enter an underground cave and hop on an inner tube. As the gentle currents bob us along, we will be in complete awe, staring at the intricate crystalline formations, stalagmites and stalactites lining the cave. What an experience!
